Roses n Rust was originally founded after a chance meeting in June 2013 during one of acoustic guitarist Russ Causey’s solo gigs when singer Anna Barthelme (Anna B) was in the audience and took the mic for a Sheryl Crow cover. She blew everyone in the room away with her vocal performance that night when combined with Russ on vocals and guitar. The result was within a couple of months a new band was born that blends classic and contemporary rock, pop and country covers with a soul and sensibility that makes Roses n Rust feel like you’ve been listening to them right next door your whole life. And in a sense, many have through their headlining role at the annual Hoodstock Music Festival, MammoJam Music Festival at the famous 8×10, South Baltimore’s jamming Chili Cook-Off and their regular gig’s at many bars, restaurants and café venues in and around Baltimore.

In mid 2015 Anna B took a break from music and that allowed the opportunity for Rita Nabhan and Clare Spurrier to add their vocal talent along with Russ. The 3 vocals are backed by fine musicians. Hope you will make it soon to a Roses n Rust gig.
